Yes, that is Snoop.
I have been told that it is important to reinvent yourself every 5-7 years. It keeps you relevent, and fresh. If you are Snoop, it keeps you funky-fresh.

I am usually the last person to discover something, particularly when that is on the internet.
In the store we have been playing our music from our personal collections from our iPods. Then I discovered Pandora.
Pandora is part of the Music Geneome Project and is possibly the coolest and most usefull tool on the internet.
Pandora takes one song or artist of your choice and plays music that is related to that song or artist by style and influence creating a channel of music where you love every song! If you, for whatever reason, don’t like a song, give it a thumbs down and that song will never be played again. All of this is streamed through your internet connection.
Because of Pandora, I have been exposed to lots of new artists and if you own an iPhone, it can be downloaded for play on your phone.
This weekend will be spent doing some chores that I am not really looking forward to but absolutly must be done. How do I stay focused and in a good mood? I’ll be listening to Pandora!
Kelley and I are in the process of looking for some new 16oz mugs for the store. I am not buying these but I did love them for the feeling I got when I saw the pattern and how cool the concept of the plate that completes the set.
Kelley loved them so much she blogged about them yesterday in her favorite things.
I found them at Fishs Eddy in New York, the same place where I bought the Pantone that is in the store now.
If you see something cool, let me know. If I like it and can afford it, I just might get them.
Thanks to Joe Maltase for bringing this to my attention.
Here in this part of the country we love our outdoor activities almost as much as we love our espresso. I often hear from my customers how great the weekend camping trip was but it would have been better if we had been there to serve them their morning espresso.
I don’t know if this is the answer that I would use to solve that problem. I prefer a great pot of French press when I am camping, but to each their own. With a price of about $140, it is a little to rich for my blood, however others may love it; so to them it is worth the price.
The handpresso uses the same pod system that many home espresso makers use.
If anyone gets and uses this product, please be sure to pass on a review to me and I will post it here.
Our neighborhood was recently put into some danger on Saturday night thanks to the reckless actions of an arsonist.
Thanks to the Seattle Fire Department and the outstanding and brave professionals that make up their battalions, the fire was contained relatively quickly and with out too much collateral damage to surrounding homes and property. This is a particularly dense area of our hill and something much more tragic could have happened.
This fire could have easily spread to other homes next door or across the alley and thankfully it didn’t.
Anyone with ANY information about this incident is encouraged to call 1 800 55 ARSON.
It is Monday after a beautiful weekend here in Seattle. I thought I would just keep things light and fun. Sometimes you just need to keep the good times going.
This is one of my favorite You Tube videos.
Enjoy the beautiful day. I’ll see you in the shop for an iced beverage!

Last year I was asked by my friend, Linda Zopfi, who produces the music portion of the Bite of Seattle to MC one of the stages. She books, or represents many musical acts from Everett to Tacoma.
Linda meet me when she was a customer of mine and saw that what I do everyday is pretty much 5 hours of stand-up entertainment. We talked and she needed someone to fill-in since she had a cancellation. I told her I could do it and now I’m a regular Ryan Seacrest.
Pictured is Terry Evans, the headliner at the Blues Stage on Saturday. He’ll be playing from 6-7:30. It is sure to be great. After he is done at the Bite, he will be at the Highway 99 Blues Club.
I’ll be there all weekend. Come by and see me.
I get so excited about the Olympics and this year is no different. By now, Kelley is very tired of hearing me deleriously exclaim “Holy crap I love the Olympics!” every time the theme song plays on the Today Show. I am lucky that she loves the Olympics as much as I do.
The biggest problem when the games are not held in our hemisphere is the chopped up coverage. Now, NBC is bringing us the Olympics live with coverage on the web.
The games start on 08/08/08, but in the mean time, enjoy this great performance. Yes, that is the late, great, Jim McKay announcing the performance. The games won’t be the same without him.
I have always loved vintage tableware and about 10 years ago I could not decide which patterns I love the most so I did what anyone would do; buy them all.
Well, not all of them, but I did decide to purchase 1 complete place setting of all of my favorite manufactures and the patterns they made.
I was drinking out of my favorite vintage dinner mugs the second time I met Kelley. I was so nervous about it that I dropped the mug and it shattered! (Lost a mug, gained a perfect partner. Good trade!)
Heath has always been at the top of my list of favorites because I love mid-century modern design and I love the colors they use for glazes.
Locally you can get Heath pottery from Velocity Art and Design
